Sunshine Coast - August 2010
Unfortunately some of our seniors could not attend the Sunshine Coast trip this year as numbers exceeded our limits. The weather was outstanding with every day an ideal golf day. Please contact Jan on (02) 9541-4178 to get your name down early for next year's tour to the Sunshine Coast also planned for August 2011.
Certainly the fine weather was matched with some great golf with Danny Wolfe and Jack Tuckfield tied for the lead at the end of 6 rounds. The countback saw Danny Wolfe prevail on the last day with an incredible 40 points around the new Hyatt Coolum layout.
The Ladies section was also hotly contested with Fay Hunter
(Hcp 17) from Bankstown Golf Club prevailing over Barbara Liddle (Hcp 32) from Castle Hill Golf Club by 9 stableford points.
DANNY WOLFE, BARBARA LIDDLE, FAY HUNTER & JACK TUCKFIELD
We sometimes have people on our tours that sometime make a difference and the eight South Australians certainly fell into that category ! Their rendition of Australian Veteran Golfers anthem composed by them to the tune of "Advanced Australia Fair" received a standing ovation at the final dinner. Many thanks to them all for making it a memorable evening!
Hawaiian Islands - June 2010
Very hard to come back to the wintry conditions at home
after the wonderful golfing weather experienced on the beautiful islands of Hawaii.
Alisa Stackpool from Concord Golf Club and Kevin Stevens from Oatlands enjoyed great wins in their respective Ladies & Mens competition over the nine rounds of golf played on most of the best courses Hawaii has to offer.
Great comraderie was enjoyed by all who were fortunate enough to participate on this years tour.

NEW ZEALAND - Another great experience on the NORTH and SOUTH ISLANDS
Wonderful golf and great weather made the two weeks of the South Island and the one week on the North Island a true pleasure.
One of the first groups to play the new Pegasus Golf Club north of Christchurch it was an honour to play and just only two weeks before they hosted the New Zealand Womens Open! The Pegasus course whilst still a little young will mature into something special in the next year or so. With new courses to play it really created a great challenge to those who participated to try and bring their game to the course. Such was the case with Ian Stuart and Jan Doyle who were able to come through and respectively win the mens and ladies divisions comfortably.
A separate tour of the North Island for one week started with a round at the incredible Cape Kidnappers - rated "thirty something" in the world. No wind and not a cloud in the sky - a day that could not have been choreographed any better. Then to Wairakei the original International Course of New Zealand, followed by Jack Nicklaus' course at Kinloch.
David Hinder from Mackay Golf Club and Kay Kelman from Strathfield Golf Club won the North Island Mens & Ladies Division.
The next tour of New Zealand is planned for February 2011 - book now to avoid disappointment.
A Wonderful Week in Dubai had by All !
