Sunshine Coast - July / August 2016
Not surprising with the freezing weather in the Southern States that we received a strong response to attend the 2016 Sunshine Coast Tour in July this year. Beautiful conditions greeted those who entered - except for the final day which was a little windy.
The Ladies Section was a battle of the "Russell Vale" girls though Ros Wynn has now moved to The Grange golf club - Maree Osburne (Hcp 32 - 37) from Russell Vale seemed to enjoy the Noosa Springs Golf Club returning scores of 41 and 37 points on both days which was what vaulted her ahead of Ros Wynn by a mere 2 points.
The Mens Section was a one horse race - Allen Wilson (Hcp 16 -20) was never headed from day one. Consistently scoring in the 30's every day - it was a very impressive display over the variety of courses played - winning by a clear 12 shots from Greg Smart (Hcp 23 - 27) from Wollongong Golf Club.
