Pinehurst, North Carolina - October 2014

 A great group of 10 players travelled to the beautiful area of North Carolina  on the eastern side of the U.S.A.

 The Pinehurst Resort now comprises 9 golf courses with the inclusion of the Jack Nicklaus - The National Course only recently added a few months ago. 

 Steeped in traditiom the Pinehurst Resort is a protected treasure of the United States and so it should be - you cannot help but get caught up in the "Putter Boy", the "Ryder Cup Bar", the  Pinehurst Village, the "Holly Inn".

Out of the 5 rounds - we played 2 courses outside of the Pinehurst Resort and then 3 within the Resort, only 4 counted in determining the winner from our 10 participants.

Wendy Northey (Hcp 30) from Mt Osmond in South Australia enjoyed Pinehurst No.4 by carding 93 off the stick - the first time she had ever broken 100. In addition the 45 stableford points she returned went a long way to help her win by 11 shots from Yvonne Murray (Hcp 29) from Blackheath.
